Please encourage your team mates and keep them accountable. I think all these goals are attainable. Start now, there are 83 days before practice. If you want to run 150 miles, that's only 2 miles a day!

Spring Meeting

Set an individual mileage goal: I will run _____ miles this summer.

You need to keep track of your workouts on a calendar (mileage, times, and conditions). You will turn your mileage into me on the first day of practice. Everyone on the team will receive a summer mileage t-shirt with their individual number on the shirt. If you want to look good in your shirt, work hard this summer. :)

The first day of cross country practice is Monday, August 2nd. (please look on the blog www.ocscrosscountry.blogspot.com or the OCS master calendar for times).

Daily practice two weeks before school is mandatory. If you have a conflict, please let me know. We will be a very competitive team this year and I will only be able to run 7 runners in each varsity race. I will decide who runs based on their work in practice and their times. If you miss practices or are late, do not expect to run varsity. It does not matter if you are a senior or a freshman.

Be aware that we will more than likely be running two times a day the two weeks before school starts.

We will also be getting together some during the summer for fun runs. These workouts are not mandatory but you are encouraged to come. I will post and email details soon.

I'm looking forward to the season,
Coach Wilson
