Team Dinner

What: Team Season Wrap Up Dinner

When: Tuesday October 26th

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Where: Hargrove's home

Ted's mexican food will be catered for dinner. Parents are invited and encouraged to come. Runners will be free, parents and any siblings will be $10 each. Please email, text or call me by Monday afternoon and let me know who will be attending so that we can have a good headcount for ordering.

Also, bring your favorite "junk food" for dessert. Each year I encourage the runners to be more aware of what they are eating, especially during the season. So at the end of the year we always have a "junk food" (cookies, cake, candy etc.) party to celebrate our season.

I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday.

3A Girls 10:00

3A Boys 10:45

The state race will be at Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech in Shawnee. It is the same course and location as the OBU meet. (I-40 East to exit 186; south side of I-40 on Harrison street.)

Runners need to be at the course by 9:30. There will be 120 of the best runners in the state. I'm proud of what our boys team has accomplished this year and I look forward to seeing how we place.

Regional Results

Congratulations boys! This year we had a tough regional, but you did well with a tie for 4th place. I told you every person you pass is important. If one of you would have let someone pass you we would have been 5th. But this could have just as easily been from 5th to 6th and knocked us out of state. Our sixth place finisher is very important because he is the tie breaker if this happens again. Nice work!

Girls this was even tougher region for girls. We placed 7th as a team which does not qualify us for state. I was proud of how you all ran through injury and tough competition. But we do have one member who will be going to state, Ashlyn Rawls qualified individually, which is very difficult to do. Great job Ash!

PASTA DINNER

Here's the scoop on the traditional pasta dinner to load up on carbs before the big regional race on Saturday!     Where?  Jack and Kristi Gilchrist's home                 205 S. Regional Meet

The top 5 teams and top 5 individuals not on a qualifying team go to state. Top 10 at state get All-Star status and All-State status only if they are a senior.

I believe that both our boys and girls teams will make it to state. I know we have runners that can make it individually too, but making state as a team is so much sweeter.

We will race Saturday, October 16th at Crosslin Park (1/2 mile west of Highway 81 on Purdue) in Enid.

LOCATION: Both meets will be held at Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech. in Shawnee.

Class 2A,3A, 4A, 5A, 6A and JR. HIGH

“Pre-State Meet” = In ALL DIVISIONS, 3A, and 2A will be together, and 4A, 5A and 6A will be together. The only exception is “Jr. Varsity”, where all classes will be together.

TIME SCHEDULE:

4:10pm - Jr. High Girls = 4A, 5A, and 6A

4:25pm - Jr. High Girls = 2A and 3A

4:40pm - Jr. High Boys = 4A, 5A, 6A

4:55pm - Jr. High Boys = 2A and 3A

5:10pm - Jr. Varsity Girls = All Classes
